    Hi Nikau,

    My name's Ruby and I'm one of the people who will be blogging with you during the Summer Learning Journey. It's cool to see that you have been making a start on the activities. Well done!

    Your work here looks awesome! I really like how you have organised your thinking. Your facts are really good facts. If I was Maui, I wouldn't have thought it was fair that my brothers wouldn't let me go fishing either!
    Why do you think Maui came up with a plan to hide in his brothers waka?

    I'm glad to see you have heard of the story about Maui and the sun. Have you heard of how Maui brought fire to the earth? That is a really good story too. If you would like to read it here is the link:

      Hi Ruby,

      I think he hid in the waka because it was the only way for him to get out to the sea. The story about Maui bringing fire to the world is cool too.

      Good thinking! He did want to go out to sea very badly. Why do you think his brothers didn't let him go fishing?
