  1. Hi Nikau

Thanks for sharing this fun piece of writing with us all. I really enjoyed reading it. I like the way you have written it, it was fun for the reader to go on the journey with you.
You can tell that you are a good reader as this shows in your writing.
Have you read anything good during lock down? I am looking forward to us all getting back to school so we can do some kids lit training.
Let me know what you have been reading!

Keep up the great work, always a pleasure to read your blog!

    Talk again soon

    1. Hi Mrs Costello,

I have read so many books in Lockdown. It would be hard to choose my favourite. I have mostly been rereading old favourites. Ine new book I enjoyed was The trouble in me by Jack Gantos. It is about a 14 year old boy who thinks his life is boring so decides to follow in his criminal neighbours footsteps. He gets in lots of trouble. It is based on a true story.

  2. Kia ora Nikau,

    Kei te pehea koe, ehoa?

Your Hide and Seek poem is awesome. I like how you have sown both the hider and the seekers sides of the story and have emphasized this by using bold type for the seeker. It is really effective. You have also used some interesting adjectives like "musty". I hate the word "musty", it gives me the creeps but it was appropriate for hiding under the bed.

How are you enjoying Learning From Home? Ihope you are making mum lots of cups of tea.

    See you soon,

    Mrs Gully

    1. Kia ora Mrs Gully,

Kei te pai ahau. Thank you for your kind coments. I love telling stories. My mum made me use a thesaurus to find lots of new adjectives which took ages but I guess was worth it to make my writing good.
I don't mind learning at home but miss my friends and teachers.
I have been making mum heaps of cups of tea actually just kidding don't think I have made her one. Whoops!

      See you soon
      Nikau
